As a respected musician you
are playing a very important role in helping to bring about
awareness to the plight of the people in Sudan. Do you see
yourself emulating Bob Geldof in using your status to continue
your commitment in helping and highlighting the need for
continued support after Live8?
- Sarah, Stevenage
"I do not think anyone can fill Bob Geldof's shoes. He has
very big feet - metaphorically and physically! I was a Band
Aid kid, I was 12 years old, and when I got the call this
time,
I just wanted to get involved. Not just going along and
doing
the pop star thing. When the spotlight of the G8 has gone,
I will still be involved. Maybe ask me in 10 years' time
and I
hope I will still be at it. I will always be involved."
